David has worked as an education director and teacher trainer in Eastern Europe, Spain, Italy, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhastan. He studied English for his MA in Oxford and trained for his Diploma in Barcelona. He has been a journalist, publisher, hotel manager and fish farmer.

Lily - Senior Teacher and Activities Organiser

Before teaching in Portsmouth, Lily gained a BA (Hons) in Hispanic Studies and English from Birmingham, did her CELTA in Brighton and spent a year in Mexico.
Susan - Teacher
“When I teach, I treat every student as an important individual – each person has his or her own strengths and weaknesses, and also reasons for learning English.”
Susan has taught in Spain and Greece. She has an MA from Glasgow and a Trinity Cert (TESOL) from Edinburgh.
Maimoona - Teacher

Maimoona holds a B.Sc, as well as a Trinity Cert (TESOL) from the University of Chichester. She has been studying for a PGCE in Primary Teaching through the University of Portsmouth.
Matt - Teacher
“I like playing football with students and going to cafés. I try to make my lessons fun and I try to help everyone speak as much as possible.”
Matt has taught in Portsmouth and London since gaining his CELTA from the capital and his BA from Derby.
Kate - Teacher
“What I particularly enjoy about teaching different nationalities is gaining a greater insight into their cultures and seeing how students grow in ability and confidence when using English, and, as a result, feel more at home in our country.”
Since gaining her CELTA at International House in Seville, Kate has taught EFL in New Zealand. She gained a BA at the University of Hertford.
John - Teacher
John has worked as a teacher, manager and Director of Studies in China and Taiwan. He has a Diploma in English for Business and qualification in Engineering. Prior to entering teaching, John worked as a company director. He was later chairman of an international foundation in China.
