English Language School

At Spinnaker College we specialise in helping students learn English. Whether you want to refresh your English language skills or gain an exam qualification, such as IELTS, in order to go to university, our English language school probably has the right course for you.

Adult English classes, which are competitively priced, range from General and Intensive English to Business English, as well as EFL Teacher Training. Our IELTS courses will help you reach your required score as quickly as possible, and we are a TOEIC test centre. Our Young Learner (12-18 years) packages include tuition, accommodation and fun activities. All our teachers are qualified, native English speakers.

Spinnaker College is conveniently situated near the university, in a fine Victorian building, and just 12 minutes walk from the beach. Classrooms are spacious and well equipped. Portsmouth is a typical, historic, English city, on the centre of the South coast of England. It’s young, lively and there are many interesting places to visit. We’re only 90 minutes from London and linked by ferry to both Spain and France.

Students are encouraged to “live the English lifestyle” by staying with a British family, although a variety of accommodation options are available. You’ll find the atmosphere here is warm and friendly, and we offer a varied social programme, as well as weekend excursions.
