Beautiful Stonehenge
Last Saturday I went to see, with my German house mate, Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. We went round Stonehenge on a tour bus, and you get some great views from the top deck. There are many stories about the significance of Stonehenge. It may have been an astronomical observatory or used for sacred rituals linked to the sun, successful crops or even the dead. We don`t know exactly, but you can learn about them on the audio tour at the site - it`s in 10 different languages. Salisbury Cathedral is the single most beautiful structure in England, and there is a beautiful garden over the Cathedral where you can relax or just have fun. Go and enjoy the vibrant historical town and the beautiful landscape.
