The Queen and Prince Philip came to Portsmouth on Thursday 30th April 2009.
The Royal visit went straight past Spinnaker College. Students and staff at Spinnaker College were very lucky to see both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip from a remarkably close distance.
Students at Spinnaker College waved flags enthusiastically for the special occasion.
"My host family was very welcoming and I celebrated Christmas and the New Year with them. It was my first experience of an English Christmas and I loved it. Also they have been really helpful with me and they are always willing to do me some favours. "
