Management Courses at Spinnaker College

 Management professionals with advanced qualifications are in demand in today's business environment. Spinnaker College now offers Management courses, which are ABE (Association of Business Executives) accredited.

Our Management courses are an ideal way to enter higher education, for example for those without the necessary grades to go directly to university. We currently offer the Business Management course at four levels.

There are 3 levels available:

•          NQF Level 3 - Certificate (1 year)
•          NQF Level 5 - Diploma (1 year)
•          NQF Level 6 - Advanced Diploma (1 year)

• Pathway to a degree - Advanced Diploma leads directly to the final year of a BA.
• ABE Advanced Diploma students can progress directly to ABP Postgraduate Diploma which is a fast track to a Masters degree / MBA.
• Direct entry to MBA course (with or without work experience, depending on university policy)
• Keeps initial costs down, by spreading them out over several years
• Allows exemption from professional bodies, including ACCA, CIMA and BCS

These management qualifications are accredited by the QCA, the UK qualifications regulatory authority.

Our courses offer outstanding progression to university degrees or high quality degrees like an MBA, without the high costs. They are therefore ideal for those who do not have an initial lump sum to spend on university fees. The Association of Business Executives (ABE) has agreements with more than 65 universities worldwide.

With our ABE accredited management courses you can achieve the success you have always wanted. Maybe your earlier grades weren't as good as you had hoped? Now this is no bar to you going on to acquire a degree or MBA.

You could also progress to becoming an accredited accountant, management accountant or to achieve IT qualifications, since our management courses allow for certain exemptions by professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA and BCS.

ABE Courses - A Pathway to an MBA :

Academic Options after ABE Courses:

 On successful completion of the Certificate course, students are qualified to enrol for the Diploma and then to Advanced Diploma.

After the Advanced Diploma students can enrol for our ABP Postgraduate Diploma or into the final year of Bachelors degree programmes at most of the UK universities.

Students with few years of professional and managerial, full time, paid work experience, prior to the course, can even move directly to a Masters or MBA.

Job Opportunities after ABE Course:

 All our management qualifications offer career opportunities in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Accounting, Human Resources and many other departments in organisations related to industries like Manufacturing, Information Technology, Services, Agri-Business and more.

ABE Management students can embark on careers in Government, Corporate or Voluntary/Charity/Non-Government sector and take up various administrative, managerial and advisory roles in any organisation located worldwide.

Location

ABE management courses are taught at our newly opened Business School premises, located in the heart of Portsmouth's commercial district, close to the university. It is therefore an ideal way to get a taste for university life, and the college is also close to the shops, main library and a short walk to Southsea beach, as well as the waterfront Gunwharf Quays designer shopping area.

The main railway station is less than 5 minutes walk and trains take only 90 minutes to London. There are also regular National Express and Grey Hound coach services. Portsmouth is directly connected, by ferry, to France and Spain, and it is an easy journey, by train, to Gatwick Airport. Heathrow Airport is just 80 minutes by car.
